The story of
IL BARONE
"Il Barone" is the nickname of Imer Vezzola, the friendly and easy-going owner of the house. The nickname was given to him by his horse-riding companions: with his bowler hat — his signature headwear — riding uniform and impressive moustache, he looked every inch the austere nobleman.
And perhaps it is no coincidence that his horse was called Impeccabile.
For the Vezzola family, horses are a passion that has been passed down through generations.
Il Barone was created in the historic centre of Moniga, within the spaces that once housed the family’s historic wine cellar. The renovation was completed in the winter of 2009, drawing inspiration from the traditional architecture of Lake Garda’s country houses.
The courtyard
The heart of the house is the courtyard, which is available for guests to enjoy. With its sofas and armchairs, it is the perfect place to read, have a chat or simply do nothing — which may be the greatest luxury of all when you are on holiday.
